Opalite is a milky, slightly iridescent glass, created by adding phosphates or oxides during the mixing process. This type of glass was first introduced in Murano, Italy in the Sixteenth Century. It is a great and cost-effective alternative to use in place of Opal and Moonstone. Some believe that Opalite can enhance psychic abilities, and provide soothing energies that can help during meditation.
